Gilford Home Center

Some of our Crew!

Bill Finethy

Bill Finethy, owner of GILFORD HOME CENTER, is a native of central New Hampshire. Raised in Alton, Bill grew up in the hardware business. His father, Bud owned and operated a hardware store in Alton. Bill took advantage of all the area had to offer growing up, an avid ski racer and coach in winter. In the summer, Bill’s love for boating grew on Lake Winnipesaukee and is now a year-round passion while he still participates in his other outdoor activities.

Bill graduated from Plymouth State College in 1985 with his business degree. At Plymouth he was a member of the ski team for four years.

After graduation he took a job at a lumberyard in Massachusetts where he learned more about the business; managing sales plus the ins and outs of day to day operations. The lumberyard was expanding and needed Bill to move to Florida to handle operations at a new yard. However, Florida turned out to be not to his liking. About this time Bill’s dad had located a building in Gilford for lease and asked if Bill would be interested in running a new store. Bill jumped at the chance and Gilford Home Center was born in 1986 in a building next to our current location. Our current location, what you know today as Gilford Home Center, was built as a roller skating rink and we still have customers who come in and recall those days. After the skating rink closed the building became available and Bill moved operations over to the larger facility. Gilford Home Center now maintains a six acre campus with over 30,000 square feet of warehousing as well as a modern store and state of the art kitchen showroom.

Amanda Kellar

Amanda Kellar works in Gilford Home Center’s Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivables Department.  Amanda joined us in 2007 and makes sure you get paid and we get paid so everyone makes sure they’re nice to her.

Corey Lofblad

Corey Lofblad of Gilford joined Gilford Home Center's team in August of 2008. Corey’s done some interesting stuff before coming to Gilford Home Center having worked in tool manufacturing and wooden boat building.  In fact, Corey owned and operated Corob Corporation and Corey’s Dories Wooden Boats.

Corey does a whole lot around here.  He’s our power tool go-to guy, does power tool sales, store management, acts as safety manager, and if you spend any time at Gilford Home Center, you know Corey’s the guy to put a smile on your face.

An avid boater, he captains a tour boat for a local resort during The Season.  When he’s not doing that, he’s swimming, mountain biking, running or participating in a triathlon.

Stop at the counter when you come in and make sure you see Corey.
